Overall Positive Experience - Reise-Reflexionen von Michael

Writer's picture: J-Term 2020J-Term 2020

At the start of the trip my goals were to learn a bit of history set up some connections and make some new friends. I feel like I accomplished two of my goals. I did learn a bit of local history for each town (I’m not sure why I thought that was a relevant goal as an engineer). I sort of made friends, although I knew some people on the trip already. I don’t believe I spoke enough with the people we toured companies or universities with to set up connections. That’s a failure on my part.

My experience of the trip was an overall positive. I do think this trip changed my perspective of Germany, and I don’t think things are all that different in the grand scheme of things. My only complaint is the spacing between meals.
